Kömür değişimi yapılırken ilk dikkat edilecek şeylerden biri, motorun kömür değişimi sırasında motorda bulunan küçük plastik kapağı açarken çok dikkat ediniz. Çok nazik olduğundan ortadan ikiye ayrılabilir. Kapağı açıp içerde ömrünü tüketen kömürü çıkardıktan sonra yeni kömürü hemen takmayın. Yeni kömürü takmadan önce bir elektrikli süpürge ile içerde kalan kömür ve toz parçalarını çekiniz.

Eğer içerde kalan kömür tozunu temizlemeden yeni kömürü takarsanız içerde kalan kömür tozları iletken oldukları için motorunuzu daha fazla ısınmasına sebep olacağı gibi, fazla enerji çekerek akülerin erken bitmesinden hatta ve hatta motor bobininin yanmasına bile neden olabilir.
